Jerry Eugene Spradlin

MR. JERRY E. SPRADLIN Mr. Jerry Eugene Spradlin, 74, of Panama City Beach, Florida, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Seabreeze Health Care Center in Panama City. Mr. Spradlin was born July 3, 1940, was raised in Hogansville, and attended Hogansville High School. He was a resident of the Atlanta area before making his home in Panama City Beach several years ago, and was a retired sales representative. He is remembered as a kind-hearted person who was willing to help anyone. Survivors include his children, Stanley Spradlin and Steven Spradlin, both of Atlanta, and Rebecca Johnson of Morrisville, North Carolina; brothers, Sammy Spradlin of Hogansville, Bobby Whitten of Douglasville, Marty Whitten of Newnan, and Todd Whitten of Panama City Beach; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Spradlin; daughters, Cheryl Freeman and Cynthia Spradlin; his mother, Nellie Fuller Spradlin Whitten; father, Lanier Spradlin; and brother, Rickey Spradlin. A memorial service will be conducted at 12 noon, Saturday, August 9, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 until 12 Saturday morning. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
