Mr. Jerry Dwayne Green, 54, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020, at his home.
Mr. Green was born June 2, 1966, in Atlanta, was raised in Tyrone, and had been a resident of Hogansville for the past three years. For 34 years, he was employed in the engineering department of Crawford W. Long Memorial Hospital and Emory Midtown Hospital in Atlanta. Dwayne was Baptist by faith, enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle, and loved dining out and meeting his friends at Karvelas Pizza Co. in Hogansville.
Survivors include his son, Ryan Green of Fayetteville; his parents, Claudia and Jerry L. Green of Grantville; his sister, Cindy Baker and her husband, Keith, and their daughter, Ali, all of Grantville; sister, Debra Turpin of Anderson, SC; brother, Bill Staton and his wife Laura of Chocowinty, NC; his best friend, Roy Aultman of Fayetteville; and a number of cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Donnie Shelton and the Reverend Milton Hall officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until 5 Friday.
