MR. JERRY C. DAVISON Mr. Jerry C. Davison, 77, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, at Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater, the Reverend Rick Davison, and the Reverend Ron Daniel will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Davison was born February 7, 1936, in College Park, son of the late Robert and Ludie Rooker Davison. A veteran of service in the Army Air Corps during the Korean War, he retired as Chief of Police in Grantville, was a former resident of Newnan and lived in LaGrange for the past 17 years. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville, and was a Mason and Shriner. Following his retirement, he served as a crossing guard at Westside Magnet School for nine years. Survivors include his wife, Janis C. Davison of LaGrange; son, Thomas Allen Davison of London, England; daughters, Tracy Gynther and her husband, Dr. Lawrence Gynther and Paige Cason, all of LaGrange, and Amy Strickland and her husband, Dale Strickland of Luthersville; brother, Rev. Rick Davison of Peachtree City; and grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Jessica, Jenna Gynther, Kyle, Tori, Ally Cason, Steven Jones, Jake, Bethany, and Leiah Davison; sons in-law, Jimmy Jones and Avery Cason; and a brother in-law, Willis Cosper. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Davison and his son, Brian Davison. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Thursday, July 25th, at Claude A.
