Jerry Lee Calhoun, Sr.

MR. JERRY L. CALHOUN, SR. Mr. Jerry L. Calhoun, Sr., 56, of Hogansville, died Monday, February 3, 2014, at West Georgia Medical Center. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Benny Ray Coker will officiate and interment will be in Southview Cemetery in Moreland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night. Mr. Calhoun was born October 26, 1957, in Coweta County, son of the late James Thomas (Pete) Calhoun, Jr. and Flossie Beckom Calhoun. A self-employed building contractor, he was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and lived in Hogansville most of his life. Survivors include his daughter, Christy Calhoun of Grantville; sons, Clay Neill of LaGrange, Lee Calhoun and Sammy Calhoun both of Hogansville; sister Linda Summers of Franklin; brothers, Norman Calhoun of Moreland, Thomas Calhoun of Luthersville; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Wyche Calhoun. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Wednesday night, February 5th, at Claude A.
