MR. JERRELL R. JOINER
Mr. Jerrell Ronald Joiner, 82, of Douglasville, passed away, Friday, July 10, 2015, at Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville.
Mr. Joiner was born May 8, 1933, in Atlanta, son of the late Jack Willie Joiner and Alma White Joiner Glass. A longtime resident of Cobb and Douglas counties, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired as a technical analyst from Lockheed-Martin Corporation in Marietta. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Smyrna.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna Watts Joiner of Douglasville; sons and daughter in-law, Ronald Joiner of Douglasville, Charles and Nancy Joiner of Dallas; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 12, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Tim Henderson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday.
