Jerome W. Meigs

Jerome Wilmer Meigs, age 82, of Grantville, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Mr. Meigs was born November 8, 1943, in Carrollton, Georgia, the son of the late Kermit “Bill” Meigs and Ollie Mae Smith Meigs. He retired from Graphic Packaging Corporation in Newnan, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Thompson Meigs; his parents; and five brothers, Randy Meigs, Ronald Meigs, Donald Meigs, David Meigs and Jessie Monroe Meigs.

To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his children, Clint and Kelly Meigs of Clem, Chad and Michelle Meigs of Newnan and Jayren Perry of Franklin; grandsons, Jackson Meigs, Steven Caswell, and Michael Mulliniks; sister, Brenda Hudson; great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In keeping with his wishes, no memorial service will be conducted.
