Jennie Leigh Thompson

Jennie Leigh Thompson, 45, of Fortson, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at her home. Ms. Thompson was born January 11, 1973, in Mountain Grove, Missouri and had lived in Georgia for a number of years. A graduate of West Georgia Technical College in LaGrange, she was a licensed practical nurse. She is remembered as a person who enjoyed caring for her patients and as a loving mother to her children. Survivors include her sons, Demetrice Henry of Carrollton and Damon Harris of Fortson; her father, Steve Thompson of Newnan; sisters, Stephenie Messer of Fortson, Terri Pardini of Greenville; and nieces and nephews, Austin Thompson, Alisha Pardini, Chloee Pardini, Corbin Chels. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Duncan Thompson. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 25, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with interment in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
