Mr. Jeffrey H. Glisman, 79, of Pine Mountain, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at his home.
Mr. Glisman was born February 24, 1940, in Muscatine, Iowa, son of the late Jack Stanley Glisman and Doris Snyder Glisman. A veteran of service in the Naval Air Corps during the Cuban Missile Crisis, he had lived in Georgia for fifty years and was Baptist by faith. He retired as parts manager for Larry Rich Nissan, was a former employee of LaGrange Molding, and had served as a police officer in Detroit. He enjoyed playing bass guitar, had served in his church band, and was a avid dog-lover.
Survivors include his children, Diana Glisman of Frazier, MI, Benji Glisman of Buffalo, NY, Scott and Sallie Glisman of LaGrange, Josh Glisman of Shiloh, Michele Dang, also of Shiloh, Daisy Kent of Pine Mountain, and Ron Kent of Columbus; sisters, Kathy Hess and Cheri Cerveny, both of Covington; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Glisman.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Barry McKee will officiate and interment will be in Ephesus Cemetery in Heard County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
