Jeffrey Avery Bowen

Mr. Jeffrey A. Bowen, 54, of Hogansville, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Twin Fountains Home in LaGrange under the care of West Georgia Hospice. Mr. Bowen was born February 16, 1968, in LaGrange, son of the late Reese C. Bowen, Jr. and Betty Echols Bowen. A lifelong resident of Troup County, he was employed for many years as a supervisor at Botex Sales in Hogansville, which was founded by his father, and retired when the company was sold. He was a devout Christian and member of Wehadkee Baptist Church in LaGrange, was an avid University of Georgia Bulldog fan, enjoyed fishing, and loved cars, hot-rods, and racing. Survivors include his sons, Ryan Bowen of Hogansville, Michael Bowen and his wife Katie all of Hogansville; sister, Jenny Dale Bowen Smith and her husband Walter Smith of Villa Rica; sister in-law, Donna Bowen of LaGrange; and three grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Bowen, and his nephew, Justin Bowen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 28.
