Jeanette Crawford Privett

Mrs. Jeanette Crawford Privett, 88, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at her home.

Mrs. Privett was born June 1, 1935, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late William Hoyt Crawford and Alva Hubbard Crawford. A graduate of Campbell High School in Fairburn, she lived in Fairburn most of her life before making her home with her daughter in Meriwether County five years ago. She was a member of Greenville Baptist Church, was an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs fan, enjoyed circle the word puzzles, and loved gospel and country music. Most especially, she loved taking care of and being with her family and took loving care of her husband and her mother in-law through their last illnesses.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Longino of Hogansville; sons, James Privett (Amy) of Palmetto, the Reverend Wesley Privett (Dossie) of Summerville; grandchildren, Elizabeth Anderson (Jon), Janice Eskew, Dana McClure (Derrick), Holly Willis, Robert Hill, Wynonna Privett, Olivia Privett; a special great-niece, Chelsea Crawford, who shared Mrs. Privett's birthday and was considered as a grandchild; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will announce plans for a memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brightmoor Hospice, 3247 Newnan Rd., Griffin, GA 30223.
