Mrs. Jeanette Cassel Faust, 84, of Marietta, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.
Mrs. Faust was born September 28, 1931, in LaGrange, daughter of the late William Rufus Bowen and Lucy Hale Bowen. A graduate of Hogansville High School, she lived in different locations of the country during her first husband's naval career and had lived in Marietta for many years. She was a retired licensed practical nurse, loved gardening and fishing, and enjoyed being with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Paul C. Cassel and his wife Christine of Hilo, Hawaii, Gary V. Cassel, Eric V. Cassel, Laurence W. Cassel, all of Marietta, James B. Cassel and his wife Valerie, of Woodstock; sisters, Adelle Hanners of Hogansville, Dorothy Burnham of Franklin; brother, Eugene Bowen of LaGrange; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night.
