MRS. JEANETTE CATO Mrs. Jeanette Wheelus Cato, 73, of the Lone Oak Community of Meriwether County, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 27, at Union Baptist Church in the St. Marks Community. The Reverend Bill Smith and Mr. Jim Bice will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night. Mrs. Cato was born February 29, 1940, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Charlie and Maggie Morris Wheelus. She retired from the Clark-Holder Clinic in LaGrange, and also managed the office of the family business, Cato Contracting. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and was loyal to all Baptist causes, especially the Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong missions. Survivors include her husband, Frank Cato of Lone Oak; daughter and son in-law, Jan and Randall Webb of LaGrange; daughter in-law, Patricia Cato of Hogansville; sisters, Aldine Pierce of Sharpsburg, Kathryn Buice of Suwanee, Betty Hunter of Moreland; and grandchildren, Wil Cato of Hogansville, Courtney Webb and Maegan Webb, both of LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her son, Chuck Cato. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Sunday night, May 26th, at Claude A.
