Jeanette Shaw Bailey

Mrs. Jeanette Shaw Bailey, 86, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, at her home.

Mrs. Bailey was born April 16, 1938, in Troup County, daughter of the late James Carlis Shaw and Lottie Hammond Shaw. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was a member of LaGrange Pentecostal Holiness Church. She ran Bailey's Flea Market for many years and enjoyed completing word search and puzzles.

Survivors include her daughters, Annette Thompson and her husband Randy Thompson of LaGrange, Christine Rudd and her husband Rev. Eddie Rudd of Dudley; daughter in-law, Cindy Bailey of LaGrange; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Frances Gaddy of Hogansville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ammie Lee "Bill" Bailey, Sr.; daughter, Alana Bailey Turner; son, Lee Bailey, Jr.; and granddaughter, Celia Elaine Bailey Knight.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Leonard Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, February 9.
