MRS. JEAN S. WINDOM
Mrs. Jean Stone Windom, 71, of Grantville, died Sunday, April 12, 2009.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Richard Campbell and the Reverend Paul Stitcher will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
Mrs. Windom was born April 29, 1937, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Joseph O. and Willie Crowell Stone. She was raised in Hogansville, lived in Coweta county most of her life, and retired from Coweta County, working for a number of years in the Magistrate's Office. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Grantville.
Survivors include daughters and son in-law, Kay and Charles Smith of Newnan and Jerrie Windom of Moreland; son and daughter in-law, Allen and Renee Windom of Newnan; sisters and brothers in-law, Janet and Bert Smith of Newnan, Betty Ann and Eddie Hanner of Brush Creek, TN; grandchildren, Jodie Addison, Charlsie Smith, Will Smith, Josh and Taylor Windom, and Jacob Windom; and a great-grandson, Mason Windom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. (Jim) Windom, and her brother, Joseph C. (Buddy) Stone.

The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
