Jean Woodruff Snipes

MRS. JEAN W. SNIPES Mrs. Jean Woodruff Snipes, of Greenville, died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at her home. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, at the graveside in the Greenville Cemetery, with the Reverend Lee Ayers officiating. Born January 8, 1935, in Greenville, Mrs. Snipes was the daughter of the late Norman and Lillian Bowen Woodruff. She lived in Decatur for many years before returning to Greenville in 1995, was a member of Belvedere United Methodist Church in Decatur, and had been a sales manager for Olan Mills. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Barry Wall, Sue and Glenn Downs, of Greenville; son and daughter in-law, Andy and Leigh Snipes, also of Greenville; daughter in-law, Janis Snipes of Marietta; and eight grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Snipes; and son, Frank C. Snipes, Jr. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Services: 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 8th, at the graveside in the Greenville Cemetery Interment: Greenville Cemetery
