Jean Harper Griffies

May 21, 1930 — February 2, 2018

Mrs. Jean Griffies, 87, formerly of Grantville passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, at Molena Rehab and Extended Care. Mrs. Griffies was born May 21, 1930, in Carroll County, daughter of the late L. G. Harper and Flora Bell Foster Harper Carroll. A resident of Coweta County most of her life, she was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Newnan. She was a retired hairdresser and owned and operated Styles by Jean in Grantville for many years. Survivors include her son, Danny Odom of Villa Rica; daughters, Debbie Tidwell and her husband Joe of Newnan, Denise Odom of Villa Rica; sister, Patsy Carmical of Moreland; grandchildren, Dina Odom, Bryan Tidwell, Heather Morris, and Shane Odom; and six great-grandchildren. A service is not being planned at this time and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
