Mrs. Jean Miller Crocker, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Crocker was born March 3, 1937, in Marengo County, AL, daughter of the late George and Mabel Wise Miller. A graduate of Troy University, she had lived in Hogansville since 1958 and retired after teaching 29 years in the Hogansville School System. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church, where she served many years as a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir, was a past president and volunteered 23 years for the West Georgia Medical Center Auxillary, and served four terms as a member of the Hogansville City Council. Mrs. Crocker enjoyed gardening, reading, and walking and loved to travel, having visited 5 of the 7 continents.
Survivors include her children, Carol and David Stanley of Stone Mountain, Carla Hale, Thomas and Evyn Crocker, all of LaGrange; grandchildren, Melissa and Marc Dudzinski of John's Island, SC, Daniel Stanley of Alpharetta, Megan and Gene Mansour of Atlanta, Jacob Stanley of Auburn, AL, Joshua and Anna Marie Stanley of Dothan, AL, Cole Crocker, Carson Crocker, and Landyn Crocker all of LaGrange; great-grandson, Joseph Dudzinski; sisters, June Mosley of Scottsboro, AL, Georgeanne Crass of Tomahawk, WI, Retta Christoforatos of Savannah; and brother, Hugh and Cheryl Miller of Luthersville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eugene Crocker, and brother, Bill Miller.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, with the Reverend Terry Rainwater officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night, with social distancing guidelines observed.
