MRS. JEAN ARRINGTON
Mrs. Jean Pittman Arrington, 77, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Arrington was born May 8, 1937, in LaGrange, daughter of the late James Arthur Pittman and Clara Morris Pittman Richardson. She was a member of Family Worship Center in Hogansville and was a former member of Unity Baptist Church in LaGrange and First Baptist Church of Hogansville where she had served as a Sunday School teacher and GA leader. Mrs. Arrington was the former owner and operator of Big T Restaurant and Arrington's Restaurant.
Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Cindy and Bill Harris of Hogansville, Donna and Phillip Murrell of Hampstead, NH, Susan and Charles Hester of LaGrange, Jennifer Talley of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Johnny and Kim Arrington of Hogansville; sisters, Diane Evans of Spartanburg, SC, Betty Pendergrass of Athens, AL; brother, James A. Bubba) Pittman, Jr. and his wife Carol of Hogansville, eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Ella Mae Pittman and her sister, Debra Standard.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend James Calhoun will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night.
