Mr. Jay William Bouldin, age 78, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Bouldin was born December 27, 1939, in Jacksonville, Florida, son of the late William Bouldin IV and Dorsey Bouldin Given. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he was a graduate of Atlanta Law School and was a practicing attorney in Jonesboro for 45 years. He enjoyed reading, history, law, electronics, boating, and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and with his wife, Phillis Bouldin, who passed away July 31, 2017.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Sue Case, Linda Ann Vallant, and Betty Carol Spires, and was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Lynn Patton. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Sheryl Lynn Hefner, Sheila Marie Hefner, Brandon William Hefner, Kelly Elizabeth Wilson, Jessica Nicole Carroll, Sammy Case, Stacey Case, Julie Kate Bedingfield; great-grandchildren, Chayton, Alexia, Olivia, Aaden, AJ, Klara Rose, Vivian, Belle, Liberty, Caden McKenzie, Blake, Raleigh; and a sister, Jane Brubaker.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Robert Hickman officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 until 11 Saturday morning.
