Mrs. Jauny Sue Burnham, 91, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Burnham was born July 28, 1929, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Orby Loren Miller and Naomi Medley Miller. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she served many years as a Sunday School teacher, Bible School leader, and was a talented vocalist. She was a longtime volunteer for Navy Mothers of America.
Survivors include her children, Randy and Ruby Burnham of Hogansville, Omie Burnham, Denise Baun, Donna and Michael Williamson all of LaGrange, Stacy Burnham, Chris and Angie Burnham all of Hogansville; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Connie Rautis of Denton, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Burnham; and her son, Gene (Mickey) Burnham.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend George Justiss and the Reverend James Olsteen officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night. Social distancing will be observed and it is suggested that face masks be worn to protect those attending.
