Mrs. Jann Counts Jacobs, 63, of Luthersville, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019, at her home.
Born November 17, 1955, in Crawford W. Long Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Mrs. Jacobs had lived in Meriwether County most of her life, had been employed as warehouse manager for Meriwether Industrial Supply, and was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Haralson. Jann enjoyed going to the beach, loved to cross-stitch, and was a University of Alabama fan, but the most important parts of her life were her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Missie Phillips of Luthersville; son, Clay Atha and his wife, Amanda Burks of Luthersville; grandchildren, Aubrey Thomas Burks and Conner Jackson Burks; parents, Ann and Ralph Counts, Jr. of Rocky Mount; sister, Tracy and Peanut DeVore of Gay; brothers, Bubba Counts and P J and Mona Counts all of Rocky Mount; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend T J Boyd officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Sunday.
