Janie Helton Webb

Mrs. Janie Helton Webb, 78, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 15, 2024, peacefully in her sleep.

Mrs. Webb was born July 24, 1945, in Coweta County, daughter of the late Thomas and Lucile Evans Helton. A lifelong resident of the city of Grantville, she retired from the Coweta County School System and Whiteoak School, after working 32 years in Nutrition. She was also a long-time member of Grantville First United Methodist Church. She was an avid Elvis fan, loved sunflowers and ducks, and especially enjoyed cooking and sharing her food with family, friends, and neighbors.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Jerrie and Andrew Kee of Newnan, Sue and Charlie Hand of Roopville; grandchildren, Kayla and Daniel Sims, Lynsey and Ricky Sellers, Ethan Hand, Asuka Kee, Cabot Kee; and great-grandchildren, Cannon Jones, Paisley Sims, Lake Sims, Fisher Sims, Finn Sims, Charlee Ann Kabina, Wyatt Kabina, Brooks Sellers, Reagan Trask, Ella Hand, and Elias Hand. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Webb.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Reverend Ron Capes will officiate and interment will be in Grantville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, and from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.
