Mrs. Janie Ruth Kelly, 91, of Newnan, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Mrs. Kelly was born August 17, 1933, in Newnan, daughter of the late James Henry Thompson and Sarah Elizabeth Burks Thompson. A resident of Coweta County most of her life, she was a textile employee for many years. She loved caring for her dogs and cats, enjoyed playing bingo at the Senior Center, and especially loved her snuff.

Survivors include her son, Ronnie Kelly and Dorinda Moreau of Newnan; daughter, Connie and Wendell Bryant of Grantville; grandchildren, Rocky McKeehan, Bubba and Marla McKeehan, Angie McKeehan, Missie Moler, Jennifer Guy, Joseph Moreau, Mikayla Moreau; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Thomas Kelley; daughter, Barbara Kelly McKeehan; son, William Thomas "Tommy" Kelly; and granddaughter, Amanda Moler.

The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend James Calhoun and Pastor T J Boyd officiating. Private interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.. Friday, prior to the service.
