Janice Mcclellan Wearden

Mrs. Janice Wearden, 63, of Pine Mountain, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Mrs. Wearden was born September 10, 1957, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Samuel Buell McClellan and Mary Jewell Maze McClellan. She earned her associate degree from Alabama Christian College, her bachelors degree from Freed-Hardeman University, her masters degree from LaGrange College and retired after teaching 34 years in the Hogansville and Troup County School Systems. A member of the Church of Christ, she loved being a Mimi and enjoyed sewing and embroidery. Survivors include her husband, Russell Wearden of Pine Mountain; daughters, Kaitlyn Wearden of Montgomery, AL, Jordan Williams and her husband Corey of Crestview, FL, and Kimberly Ford of Phenix City, AL; her grandsons, Caleb Williams and Zachary Williams; and her brother, Douglas McClellan of LaGrange. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 20, at the Hogansville Church of Christ. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Sunday at the church.
