MRS. JANICE COOLEY
Mrs. Janice Farmer Cooley, 59, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at West Georgia Medical Center.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Melvin Payne will officiate and interment will be in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery in LaGrange.
Mrs. Cooley was born April 25, 1950, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Ulis W. Farmer and the late Willie Belle Pike Farmer. A lifelong resident of LaGrange, she was a graduate of West Georgia Technical College and was employed many years as a licensed practical nurse at Florence Hand Home and Alvista Care Home.
Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Rodney Cooley, Brad and Jennifer Cooley and John Curtis and Lauren Cooley, all of LaGrange; brothers and sisters in-law, Danny and Jean Farmer of Newnan and Ronnie and Carolyn Farmer of LaGrange; four grandchildren, Wesley, Megan, Alison, and Caleb; and a special friend, Debra Gail Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Gene Cooley.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
