Janett Gladney Lowe

Mrs. Janett Gladney Lowe, 85, of Forest Park, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon. Mrs. Lowe was born January 3, 1931, in Heard County, daughter of the late Henry Herman Gladney and Kate Shirey Gladney. A graduate of Hogansville High School, she lived in the Atlanta area most of her life and retired from Sears Roebuck and Company in Atlanta after 42 years of service. She returned to Hogansville in 2000, was a member of Highland Baptist Church, and had lived in Forest Park for the past six years. Survivors include her sons, Barry Lowe of Forest Park, Larry Lowe of Pensacola, FL; and her sister and brother in-law, Linda and James Mosteller of Macon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie J. Lowe. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Terry Rainwater officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
