Jane Gordon Higgins

Mrs. Jane Gordon Higgins, 87, of Fayetteville and formerly of Hogansville, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at Hope Memory Center in Fayetteville.

Mrs. Higgins was born February 2, 1938, in Griffin, daughter of the late Walter Robert Gordon and Lois Church Gordon. During her late husband's career with United Airlines, she lived in Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Orlando, FL before returning to Hogansville to make her home. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and served as a church secretary, retiring after serving Pine Castle Baptist Church in Orlando. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church, and enjoyed arts, crafts, and painting, and loved decorating her home.

Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Brian and Judy Higgins of Fayetteville; son in-law, Greg Fenda of Boynton Beach, FL; and grandchildren, William Cory Higgins, Claire Elise Townsend and her husband Liam Townsend, Jack Fenda, and Jared Fenda. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Higgins, and her daughter, Paula Fenda.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 28, at Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville, with the Reverend Terry Rainwater officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 28, prior to the service.
