Mrs. Jane Thomas Crews, 78, of Luthersville, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Crews was born November 14, 1943, in Greenville, daughter of the late Joseph and Nadine Garner Thomas. A resident of Jonesboro for many years, she retired from the J.C. Penney Distribution Center in Forest Park and had made her home in Luthersville for ten years. She was Baptist by faith and enjoyed cross-stitch, word puzzles, reading her Bible, and being with her family.
Survivors include her children, Laurie Jane Burns and her husband Jamie Burns of Buford, Marilee Gowan and her husband Michael Conklin of Concord, Dale Crews and Avery Crews both of Luthersville; sisters, JoAnn and Paul Shortsleeve of Sterling Park, MA, Joy Martin of Newnan, Judy and James Turpin of Zebulon; brother, Randall and Elaine Thomas of Moreland; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lynward Thomas.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Winston Skinner will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday.
