Jamie Powell

Jamie Powell, 50, of Newnan, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Mr. Powell was born December 13, 1973, in Newnan, son of the late Rita Dean Slaton Powell and the late James Lee Powell. A resident of Coweta County most of his life, he was employed as a carpenter, was very mechanically inclined, and loved working on cars and motorcycles.

Survivors include his sister, Kerrie Powell of Newnan; nephew and nieces, Devin, Vanity, Danielle, and Amber; and his aunts, Judy Northrup, Debra Couch, Ann Slayton Mills, and Ara McGhee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Daniel.

The family is planning to host a memorial service at a time and place to be announced later.
