MR. JAMES L. WILLIAMS
Mr. James L. Williams, Sr., 74, of Hogansville, died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Searcy Jackson will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with military honors.
Mr. Williams was born April 19, 1936, in Warm Springs, son of the late Riner Reese Williams and the late Mary Anderson Williams. A former resident of the Atlanta area, he had lived in Heard County since 1997, was a retired electrician and was a member of IBEW Local #613 for thirty years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his daughters, Wanda Leverett, Melinda Williams, and Melissa Williams; son, James Lee (Jimmy) Williams, Jr.; grandchildren, Kathy Tran, Eugene Dalton, Rebecca Dalton, Katie Dalton McRae, Evan Theriot, Brandon Theriot, Nicholas Mendez, and Jacob Mendez; sisters, Lois Williams, Bertha Newton, and Marie Scoggins; and sister in-law, Elizabeth Williams.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
