MR. JIM WILLET
Mr. James Michael (Jim) Willet, age 55, of Franklin, died Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.
Born October 23, 1954, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Mr. Willet lived in Port Charlotte, Florida for a number of years, where he was employed in the circulation department of the Charlotte Sun. He had made his home in Georgia since 2004, was a member of Salem United Methodist Church at Franklin and also attended Corinth United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his partner, Steve Rowell of Franklin and Steve's family, Sandy, Shevon, Sirus, and Trystan Rowell of Franklin, Susanna and Jonathan Smith of LaGrange, Scottie Rowell of Atlanta, and Sara Rowell of Franklin; his father, Frank N. Willet of Port Charlotte, FL; sisters and brothers in-law, Kelly and Fred Brandon of Port Charlotte and Jeanne and Dennis Portello of Wagner, OK; brother and sister in-law, Frank, Jr. and Deidre Willet of Long Beach, MS; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Evensen Willet.
The family will host a visitation and memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 7, at Salem United Methodist Church at Franklin, with the Reverend Marilyn Roberts and the Reverend Sheila Crowe officiating.
