Mr. James Arnold Tucker, 72, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Tucker was born August 9, 1952, in Hogansville, son of the late John Ellis Tucker and Annie Ruth Williamson Tucker. A 1972 graduate of Hogansville High School, he lived in Florida for a number of years before returning to Hogansville and was a member of Hogansville Church of God. Mr. Tucker loved music and had been a member of several gospel singing groups. He had written music and had a gift to be able to play almost any instrument.
Survivors include his sisters, Dorothy Herndon of Hogansville and Linda Entres (Milton Entres) of LaGrange; daughter Tanya Snow (Steven Snow) of Roanoke, AL; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Wood; an infant sister, Michelle Tucker; and his brothers, Mack Tucker and Johnny Tucker.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Dorothy Herndon, the Reverend Jody Mitchell, and the Reverend Robert Leek will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service.
