MR. JAMES L. PURGASON Mr. James L. Purgason, 55, of LaGrange, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Emory University Midtown Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in the Corinth Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night. Born June 25, 1956, in Hogansville, Mr. Purgason was the son of the late George and Beatrice Haynes Purgason. He was a lifelong resident of Troup County, was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, and was employed as a truck driver for Vaughan X-press. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Purgason of LaGrange; sons and daughters in-law, Jamie and Miranda Purgason of Zebulon, Jimmy and Amanda Purgason, and Chad Thomas, all of LaGrange; sister, Sally Kee of Hogansville; brothers and sisters in-law, George and JoAnn Purgason and Marvin and Mattie Purgason, all of Hogansville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
