James Anthony (Tony) Preast

Mr. James Anthony (Tony) Preast, 46, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021. Mr. Preast was born November 26, 1974, and was a lifelong resident of LaGrange. He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed working on cars and attending car shows. He enjoyed spending time at the lake with his family and friends, loved his family dearly, and especially adored his daughter. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Eugene (Jack) Preast and is survived by his wife, Cynthia Preast; his daughter, Rebecca Preast; his mother Hazel Preast, all of LaGrange; step-sons, Brian Earls of Orlando, FL, Randall Earls of West Point; sister, Hazel Elizabeth Hampton and her friend Mark Fomby of Hogansville; brothers, Tracey Maddox and his wife Aimee of LaGrange, Chris Maddox and his wife Amanda of Pensacola, FL; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Randall Hodge officiating. Interment will be in Hillview East Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
