DR. PERRY PARKER, JR.
Dr. James Perry Parker, Jr., 68, of Atlanta, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at his home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Burt Parker officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 until 11 Thursday morning.
Born December 20, 1944, in Hogansville, Dr. Parker was the son of the late James Perry Parker and Dorothy Norris Parker. He grew up on his family's dairy farm, received his pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia, and retired as a pharmacist from Miller's Rexall in Atlanta. He was a member of Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta, and was very proud to have been a licensed private pilot for over forty years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Parker of Atlanta; daughters and sons in-law, Wendy and Ruben Marchand of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Christina and Bill Wunner of Dallas; son and daughter in-law, Robert and Pamela Parker of Sierra Vista, Arizona; brother and sister in-law, Jack and Peggy Parker of Hogansville; and grandchildren, Ashley Parker, Brandon Parker, Alexandra Marchand, Brian Marchand, Audrey Wunner, Erin Wunner. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Richard Parker.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
