James Edwin Maddox

Mr. James Edwin “Jimmy” Maddox, age 64, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Maddox was born April 29, 1962, in Atlanta, son of the late Robert Gaines Maddox and Eleanor Warren Maddox. A resident of Troup County most of his life, he retired from the environmental services department of Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center after more than 38 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hogansville, enjoyed collecting die-cast cars and trains, and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his sisters, Lora Norwood (Wayne) of Hogansville; Bonnie Jones (Mike) of Grantville; brother, Joseph Maddox; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is not being planned at this time.
