Mr. Jimmy Lasseter, 63, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at his home.
Mr. Lasseter was born December 6, 1956, in Meriwether County, son of the late Eleanor Kelley Lasseter and William Edward Lasseter. A resident of Meriwether most of his life, he had been employed as a carpenter and was Baptist by faith. He loved music, was a very talented drummer, and was a longtime member of the band Drivetime.
Survivors include his son, Justin Land of Greenville; daughter, Tabitha Ann Land of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Bunny Brown of West Point, Lee Austin of LaGrange; brother, Billy Lasseter of Warm Springs; and grandchildren, Jason Land, Hayden Land, Alexis Land, and Ava King.
The funeral service will conducted at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, January 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with private interment in the Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
