James L. (Jimmy) Freeman

MR. JIMMY FREEMAN Mr. James L. (Jimmy) Freeman, 75, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 11, at Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville. The Reverend Aaron McCollough, the Reverend Terry Rainwater, and the Reverend Paul Stitcher will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Born June 18, 1935, in Newnan, Mr. Freeman was the son of the late Willie and Edna Lands Freeman. He was a 1956 graduate of Newnan High School, where he was very active in athletics, and was a retired employee of James River Corporation. He had lived in Hogansville for 52 years, was a member of Highland Baptist Church, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Freeman; sons and daughters in-law, Richie and Terri Freeman, Tim and Kelly Freeman; grandchildren, Amber Freeman, Rodney Law, Scotty Law, Colby Freeman, Chase Freeman, Eli Freeman, all of Hogansville; and his brother, Jerry Freeman of Grantville. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Hank Freeman; and his brothers, Terry Freeman and Ardis Freeman. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Friday night, June 10th, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 11th, at Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville
