MR. JAMES A. JENKINS
Mr. James A. Jenkins, 83, of LaGrange, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Central Alabama Veterans Medical Center in Montgomery.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 6, at the graveside in the Grantville Cemetery, with the Reverend Dr. David Brackman officiating.
Born April 23, 1925, in Grantville, Mr. Jenkins was the son of the late John Hunter Jenkins and the late Myrtle Howard Jenkins. He was a disabled Army veteran of World War Two, had lived in LaGrange most of his life, and was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church in LaGrange.
Survivors include his niece, Leslie Lyon Young of Columbus; nephews, Steve Beckham of Mableton and James Beckham of Huntsville, AL; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
