JAMES H. HAYWOOD, JR. James Hanson (Jim) Haywood, Jr, beloved son, brother, and friend passed away on September 27, 2014 at his home in Hogansville. James was born on August 20, 1961 in Keyser, WV to James Hanson Haywood, Sr. and Mable Irene Whittington-Haywood of Moorefield, WV, and attended Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, VA where he spent most of his youth. As a young adult, Jim moved to the Atlanta area and later settled in Hogansville, where he was employed by Summit Stores. Jim is survived by his mother; sisters, Darlene Haywood of Layton, UT, Dorothy Haywood and Judy Yesuf, both of Manassas, VA; brothers, Robert Haywood of Remington, VA and Michael Haywood of Keyser, WV; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, James Hanson Haywood, Sr. of Westernport, MD; and by his brother, David Lee Haywood of Manassas, VA. Jim spent a lot of time working and was very fond of his co-workers and friends in the Hogansville area. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed long walks, leisurely drives, and sitting on the porch watching hummingbirds. He loved his cat Chancey, who he called "Boo". Boo never left Jim's side during his last three days here on earth. The family would like to thank Jim's co-workers and regular customers, and his dear friends in the community. Knowing that you were there in his time of need and to brighten his path day to day provides a source of comfort in this time of sorrow. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.
