James Alfred (Al) Hayes

MR. AL HAYES Mr. James Alfred (Al) Hayes, 65, of Newnan, died Saturday March 29, 2008, at his home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, at Welcome All Baptist Church in Hogansville. The Reverend Tommy McLeroy, the Reverend Barney Howard, and the Reverend Paul Stitcher will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery. Born April 19, 1942, in Coweta county, Mr. Hayes was the son of the late Lonnie and Alice Phillips Hayes. He was a lifelong resident of Coweta county, a member of Welcome All Baptist Church, and owned and operated Al and Son Auto Service in Newnan for many years. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Farmer Hayes of Newnan; a daughter and son in-law, Tammy and Tim Hall of Grantville; a son and daughter in-law, Allen and Jessica Hayes of Newnan; two sisters, Helen Tanksley and Dorothy Jacobs, both of Newnan; and four granddaughters, Ashley Hall, Kirsten Hall, Ansley Hayes, and Stevie Hayes. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Allison Hayes. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
