James Harold Massengale

MR. JAMES H. MASSENGALE Mr. James Harold Massengale, 78, of Grantville, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015, at the home of his daughter and son in-law in Barnesville. Mr. Massengale was born April 16, 1937, in Meriwether County, son of the late Grady Allen Massengale and Mary Azalee Massey Massengale. A U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, he lived in Coweta County most of his life, was a retired ironworker, and was a member of Ironworkers Local #387 in Atlanta. Survivors include his daughter, Thresia Massengale Goodrich and her husband Richard Goodrich of Barnesville; son Timothy J. Massengale of Grantville; brothers, Hiram E. Massengale of Wedowee, AL and Rev. Grady Allen Massengale of Barnesville; and grandchildren, T.J. Massengale, Antonio Kildani, Jontel Kildoni, Tristan Goodrich, Brittany Massengale, and Erienne Goodrich. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny A. Massengale and Jerry R. Massengale. A homegoing memorial service in his honor will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Deliverance Center Church located at 237 Tomichichi Road in Griffin, with Pastor Allen Massengale officiating. All are welcome to attend and a luncheon will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Condolences may be expressed at www.mckibbenfuneralhome.com Claude A.
