James Edward "Jimmy" Eason

Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Eason, 62, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

Jimmy was born May 30, 1961, son of the late Willie Dan Eason and Betty Hall Eason Arrington. He was a self-made, avid carpenter and painter whose skill was undeniable. With his hammer and paint brush, he could turn any house into a masterpiece. He was a great cook with a well-known reputation for making the best breakfast, and the best green beans. Jimmy enjoyed fishing with his children and grandchildren, driving fast, and listening to classic rock music.

Survivors include his children, Angie (Daniel) Mundy, Jennifer (Chris) Minchew, Joshua Eason, Jacob (Kimberly) Eason, Stephanie (Kenneth) Watson; grandchildren, Savannah, Rylee, Kayleigh, Lilly, Mason, Autumn, Adaline, Rhett; step-father, Holland Arrington; brothers, David Eason, Darryl Eason, Carlton Eason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Timmy Eason; and his wife, Bobbie Jo Mott.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m., Monday, October 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jimmy Greer officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with the expenses.
