James C. Dunn, Jr.

Mr. James C. Dunn, Jr., 82, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at his home. Mr. Dunn was born August 11, 1939, in Fannin County, son of the late James and Bertha Mae Huffman Dunn. A former resident of Forest Park, he retired as a senior store-keeper for Georgia Power Company, had made his home in Meriwether County since 1998, and was a member of Luthersville Baptist Church. He was an avid University of Georgia Bulldog fan, enjoyed NASCAR, and loved to hunt and fish. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and camping in their RV. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Dunn of Greenville; daughters and son in-law, Becky and Danny Bickers of McDonough, Cindy Dunn of Monticello; grandchildren, Mandy Bailey (Ashley), Josh Paulk (Hillary), Candace Nolen (Austin), Trevor Paulk; five great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Thomas of Douglasville; and brother, William C. Dunn (Tina) of Augusta. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory R. Dunn. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, in the old sanctuary of Luthersville Baptist Church. The Reverend John Pape and the Reverend Joe Felder will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
