MR. JAMES ELMER (F0X) COVIN
Mr. James Elmer (Fox) Covin, 94, of Hogansville, died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at West Georgia Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 22, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Marion Shivers and the Reverend Sheila Crowe will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Covin was born June 22, 1915, in Hogansville, son of the late Henry and Laura Sanders Covin. A graduate of Hogansville High School, he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and retired as a cost accountant from Uniroyal, Inc. after 38 years of service. He was a former resident of Moreland, had lived in Hogansville since 1963, and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hogansville.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Covin of Hogansville; daughters and son in-law, Mary Fox and Mike Fowler of Anderson, SC and Laura Covin of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, David and Carol Covin of Manassas, VA; sisters, Lucile Marciniak, Clara Smith, and Rowena Moore, all of Hogansville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.

Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville
