Lee McGuffin

Mr. Lee McGuffin, 60 of Franklin, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026, at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.

Lee was born December 24, 1965, in Maryland. He had been a resident of Heard County since 1994 and worked for Carroll County Public Works where he was a firetruck and heavy equipment mechanic. Lee loved hunting and fishing, was a sports fanatic, and could fix anything. Lee loved his friends and family and will be missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Debra McGuffin, of Franklin; sons, Matthew McGuffin of Franklin, and Joshua Henry of Florida; daughters, Amanda McGuffin of Milner, Cassandra Bourgeois of Franklin, Virginia Tyler of Harleyville, SC, Brooke Addison of Franklin; his mother, Gladys McGuffin of Butler; sisters, Jeannie Logue of Butler and Debra Godfrey of Butler; brother, Paul McGuffin of Butler; 20 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild, Tobias Hewett. Mr. McGuffin was preceded in death by his father, Ernest McGuffin; and a son, Adam Hewett.

The family will host a celebration of Lee's life at a later date.
