MR. JACKSON W. HORNE
Mr. Jackson Warren Horne, beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 74, of Flowery Branch, passed away in his sleep the morning of July 21, 2012.
Jack was born in Melbourne, FL and graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He lived 30 years in Lilburn and 22 years in Flowery Branch, and was a member of Duluth First United Methodist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances DePourcq Horne; children, Ann Horne Hunter and her husband, Patrick, Nancy Horne Carpenter and her husband, Bryant, Jackie Horne Brice and her husband, Alan; grandchildren, Mollie, Laney and Winston Hunter, Adam and Sarah Carpenter, Mitchell and Anna Rose Brice; brother, Michael T. Horne and his wife, Florence, of Melbourne, FL; sister in-law, Elsie DePourcq Chandler and her husband, William, of Hogansville and Panama City, FL; and many loved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, July 23, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in The Gathering Room at Duluth First United Methodist Church, and also from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
