MRS. JACKIE JOHNSON
Mrs. Jackie Jackson Johnson, of Grantville, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough.
Mrs. Johnson was born February 8, 1933, in Coweta County, daughter of the late Claude and Daisy Webb Jackson. A graduate of Piedmont Nursing School in Atlanta, she was employed as a registered nurse for twelve years before staying home to raise her family. She later served as the first director of the Grantville Senior Center and was a member of the Grantville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jack Johnson of Grantville; daughters and son in-law, Jefflyn and Tim Winstead of Peachtree City, June Johnson of Newnan; sister, Jo Tedder of Durham, NC; and granddaughters, Caroline Winstead and Chandler Winstead, both of Peachtree City.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Monday, March 30, at the graveside in Southview Cemetery in Moreland, with Chaplain Kenneth Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 until 11 Monday morning.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
