MR. JACK H. WASHINGTON
Mr. Jack H. Washington, 73, of Sharpsburg, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at the home where he had lived for 48 years.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, at Tri-County Baptist Church in Turin. Pastor Ron Whitlock and Johnny McKinnon will officiate and interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Sunday afternoon and at the church from 1 until 2 Monday afternoon.
Mr. Washington was born August 8, 1939, in Greenville, son of the late Sylvester and Lessie Roper Washington. A veteran of service in the U.S. Air Force, he retired from Ford Motor Company Hapeville Plant, and was a member of Tri-County Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Washington and Sam of Newnan, Ann Richardson of Villa Rica, Donna Creel of Hurdle Mills, NC; grandchildren, Shane Byrom and his wife Amy, Nicki Huckaby, Joseph Fleming, Ben Huckaby and Brett Hester; and great-grandchildren, Dalton Byrom, Brent Bellew, Jacob Burke, and Dylan Fleming. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Breland Washington.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
