MR. JACK S. DOLLAR
Mr. Jack S. Dollar, 86, of the Harrisonville Community of Troup County, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at West Georgia Medical Center.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend W. T. Bates and the Reverend Eddie Wood will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night and from 1 until 2 Monday afternoon.
Mr. Dollar was born November 22, 1926, in Meriwether County, son of the late Jesse Cleveland Dollar and Allie Mobley Dollar. He was an Army veteran of World War Two, lived in the Hogansville area all of his life and was a member of Harrisonville Baptist Church. Following his retirement from Lloyd Tate Interior Decorations, he enjoyed farming.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis Dollar of Harrisonville; son, Jack L. Dollar of Hogansville; grandchildren, Brannon and Sabrina Dollar of Covington, Angela and Joe Hamilton and Julie Dollar, all of LaGrange; great-grandchildren, Joseph Hamilton, Lily Hamilton, Paige Pannell, Brayden Dollar, and Elaina Adcock. He was preceded in death by his son, Frank Cleveland Dollar.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
